Eoin Morgan to play in Caribbean Premier League

Eoin Morgan has got himself included in the long list of superstars who are featuring in the on-going edition of the Caribbean Premier League.

The Irish Southpaw who now represents England in the international fold and actually leads them in limited-over versions of the game has agreed to provide his services to the Barbados franchise.

The Barbados franchise already has the services of quite a few big names both from the Caribbean as well as from abroad, none bigger than the skipper himself Kieron Pollard who is probably the fiercest finisher in this format.

And now the addition of Morgan to the squad will only enhance its strength further and will make Barbados one of the favourites to clinch the trophy once again.

They had clinched the trophy 3 years back and they would now look to repeat that feat with such big names present in the camp.

Talking about Morgan, Robin Singh who in the past has played international Cricket for India and at present is the chief of the coaching staff of the Barbados franchise, reckons that the aggressive middle order batsman can be a great influence on the team not only with his individual performance, but also with his knowledge of the game.

According to Robin, for a team to have a successful title run in close competitions like CPL, players like Morgan are needed who have enormous experience and who can play the situations perfectly to help the team get over the line in tight scenarios because they have been there, done that and know how to do it. It’s their experience which is the most important aspect.

CPL has been running for the past one week and it is going to have its finale on the 9th of next month.
